Disturbing Shortage of Hispanic Dentists to Serve Rising Hispanic Population

There is a disturbing shortage of Hispanic dentists available to deliver dental care to an historically underrepresented minority (URM) in the United States—namely Hispanics. This shortage is all the more disturbing due to the disproportionate nature of practicing Hispanic dentists and Hispanic individuals applying to, attending, and graduating from dental schools across the nation.
